Habits

I have a serious obsession with Q-tips. I clean out my ears ATLEAST twice a day. I know, I know it is not good for your ears. But I do it anyway. I can't stop. This morning I was putting my make-up on and and I glance over to see that Pepper had a Q-tip in each ear and a few more in her hands. I hope she didn't damage her ear drum. But can I blame her for using Q-tips?

HIPPOS

Shout out to my Aunt Marti. She was at the "Goodwill" and saw one of these hippos which reminded her of me. So she bought it. I already had one, but was happy to take another so both of my kids could push at the same time... instead of their regular screaming and shoving over the single hippo. Yes, both of my children are very good walkers on their own, but for some reason they LOVE to push walkers.

2 Years Old!

I posted about St Patrick's Day. Shut my computer and left. I am back... I forgot to post that Pepper had a birthday yesterday. She is now officially two.

Happy St. Patricks Day!

I love Washington. Not only can you wear green on St. Patty's day... but you can be surrounded by it. I love the great outdoors!

The Great Outdoors!

Pepper L-O-V-E-S hunting for bugs. She removed 19 worms out of a puddle and put them back in the dirt. She is very careful with them and they are usually rescued unharmed. On the other hand Tabor found a worm and it did not survive. Bugs better look out when Tabor is around! Pepper has also found a plethera of spiders. Just think once summer hits Pepper will be in bug heaven. I decided to take this "exploring" one step farther by having a preschool lesson about something in nature and then go outside and experience it. Her birthday is on wednesday and her first lesson will be on thursday. I opened up a new blog just for preschool. If you see a link called "toddlers in nature" you found it. We are going to talk about weather, where food comes from, bugs, bodies of water, 5 senses, trees, rocks, birds and so on. When we did all the colors (when she was 18 months) she did great! And still has them all memorized. So hopefully she soaks this up aswell. And Tabor is going to join us on our adventures.

I haveTwo... One Year Olds

Today was Tabor's first birthday. He had 2 parents, 1 sister, 4 sets of grandparents, 2 uncles and one cousin at the party. We did a dump truck theme. The kids started out by playing with dump trucks in the sandbox. Then it was present time... and with 5 grandma's around there was a plethera of gifts (my grandma paxman didnt come because she is sick, but she gave him the dump truck the cake is in). The whacky ball thing (pictured above) I didn't think he would be able to do on his own, but he took the hammer and started whacking away. He mastered it. Tabor LOVES balls. He loves to kick them, throw them, roll them or eat them. We got him a bigger rubber ball and he walks behind it dribbling it with his feet. Back to the party... he ate mangled up cake (dirt) out of the back of the dump truck. No frosting. Little mess. After cake grandpa darrell & grandpa bruce put together his car ramp while he played whacky ball. I think Tabor enjoyed the evening. Happy Birthday Tabor!
P.S. Both Pepper and Tabor are one for 12 days. Pepper turns two on March 16th!
